Guides for Indepence (GFI) is an agency dedicated to providing support and guidance to adults with disabilities.
Our providers help support community inclusion in order to promote independence by using a person-centered, problem-solving approach in the least restrictive settings possible. GFI will promote independent living skills, safety and health with an approach that supports the lifestyle, preferences and personality of the individual.
At the direction of our clients, our providers will guide and assist with:
Physical activities and exercise, diet and nutrition, hygiene, emotional well-being, positive coping strategies, financial management, activities of daily living, access to community resources, community integration, household maintenance, and other goals as determined by the client and their support community.
GFI will collaborate with the individual and their support community (family members, guardians, legal and designated representatives, and significant others) to provide the least intrusive strategies and support to reach their goals.
